The oversized, folding frontispiece depicts a torture scene entitled “The Manner of Bastinading.”

Title-page with early inked ownership inscription, partially shaved, and with a small repair done some time ago just touching one letter; frontispiece mounted. Pages age-toned with some scattered stains; three leaves with careful tissue repairs (including frontispiece, not within image). Occasional pencil marks and annotations.
