Cincinnati Sanitarium (Cincinnati, Ohio). Sixth annual report of the Superintendent of the Cincinnati Sanitarium for the year ending November 30th, 1879. Cincinnati, OH: A.H. Pounsford & Co., printers, 1880. 8vo (22.9 cm, 9"). 21, pp. $35.00
The superintendent's report recounts the number of deaths for the year, types of entertainment available to the "inmates," the financial state of the institution, and other topics. There is an interesting short discussion of the use of restraints. Not all patients are "insane" as at least one is being treated for morphine addiction.
The work ends with the usual facts, figures, and tables.
Interesting observation on some patients having private care attendants.
